Pearlfisher pair break away to exploit
‘crunch’ opportunities

Pearlfisher creative director Shaun Bowen and client services director Kerry Bolt are to leave in the new year to set up their own packaging and branding consultancy, called B&B.

The pair won’t compete with Pearlfisher, claims Bowen, who has been with the consultancy for 11 years. He says, ‘Despite the economic climate, it’s a brilliant time to set up. We’ll have low overheads and we can go for smaller contracts.’ Bowen says he won’t be taking clients with him, but adds, ‘We’ve got a lot of contacts.’

B&B will be based in Shoreditch, where Bowen and Bolt - who has been with Pearlfisher for six years - will initially be the only staff. ‘The business will grow gradually,’ Bolt says.
